YAMOUSSA BANGOURA

A pioneer of Guinean circus arts, he propelled his country towards a new future. Since his international launch with the Guinean troupe Circus Baobab, everyone has followed in his footsteps.

Trained by several masters in dance, kora, juggling, strap, acrobatics and singing throughout his multidisciplinary career, he is today the stage master of our main show, Afrique en Cirque, in addition to being its creator.

Recipient of the Circus Arts Recognition Award from the Conseil des arts de Montréal in 2023, he is known to lead Productions Kalabanté towards a grandiose future.

Performed by Momentum Aerial and Acrobatic Troupe, “Ten Thousand Prayers” is a series of stories that seeks to break down our misconceptions – the barriers between the faces we see on the news, and the people we meet in real life. MOMENTUM Aerial and Acrobatic Troupe was established in 2002, when dance and theatre met the Circus arts. We are acrobatic storytellers who seek to connect and inspire with each performance.
